Summary:
Meghan Chase is sixteen. She lives with her mother, whose new partner Luke and her half-brother Ethan in the swamps of Louisiana. Her biological father disappeared when she was six, without a trace.
Meghan and her best friend Robbie Goodfell go to school together and know each other since Meghan is drawn with her mother in Louisiana. Since Meghan's family does not have much money, Meghan has no friends except Robbie. Thus it often has the feeling of not belonging.
With her sixteenth birthday, however, everything changes. The people of whom she thought Meghan know to show their true form. Meghan comes into the enchanted world of fairies, the Nevernever, where Meghan expect many dangers. An adventurous journey begins on which she must overcome many hurdles.
My opinion:
The book is very good. Due to the great new world, the Nevernever, and the fantastic design of the characters, the book is just right for fantasy fans. I love this book series because you can dive into another world, just like Meghan. The book is highly recommended and there is something for everyone. The book is rich adventure on the one hand and exciting on the other side, however, also comes the romance not too short.
